SAN LUIS OBISPO –– Cal Poly’s Off-Campus Housing Program has entered into a partnership with EDUrain, an online platform that streamlines the off-campus housing rental process for students.

EDUrain’s off-campus housing marketplaces offer a centralized and customized hub to simplify the housing search process for students and offer features such as a roommate search function, subleasing feature, credit-building program through on-time rental payments, an alternative security deposit program, and scholarship search, among others.

The partnership aims to help relieve the challenges students face in securing suitable off-campus housing, said Sarah Bacio, Cal Poly Off-Campus Housing Program coordinator.

“We are excited to partner with EDUrain to provide our students with a comprehensive and reliable housing solution,” said Bacio, who noted that she led focus groups and worked directly with students to better understand their needs and concerns prior to the partnership. “We are confident that this partnership will help us better serve our students and provide them with a positive off-campus housing experience.”

The Off-Campus Housing Program was created in October 2022 to help students successfully transition from on-campus to off-campus living in the San Luis Obispo community. The program helps students identify and secure affordable and safe off-campus housing and supports them in identifying resources that assist with housing expenses.
