Biography
Most accelerators focus on the business model and forget the most important variable: the founder. Jose Huitron works one-on-one with entrepreneurs to develop their leadership capacity, growth mindset and strategic thinking while simultaneously building their ventures by meeting founders where they are — whether that’s in a garage, co-working space or boardroom. His approach combines proven leadership development methodologies with cutting-edge venture building techniques. The result? Founders who don’t just build successful companies — they become the kind of leaders who can scale, pivot and thrive through any challenge.
He is the founder and chief strategy officer at Edify Ventures, a faith-driven innovation catalyst that builds thriving ventures and the communities they lead with a Founder First Approach™️ combining leadership development, growth mindset coaching and venture strategy to help entrepreneurs optimize themselves and their companies simultaneously for impact. Huitron also founded and is chief community builder at Santa Maria Valley Tech, a community catalyst built to inspire an entrepreneurial ecosystem and innovation economy in the Santa Maria Valley.
He is an award-winning teacher of entrepreneurship in the Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business leveraging lean startup methodology, business model innovation and design thinking in an amazing Learn by Doing environment. Huitron also served as the director of Student Innovation Programs for over three years with the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
